Self Confidence, Reboot my Relationship in the Bedroom?
How can you help me?
Subliminal Suggestions are the Key
Let’s face it we cannot truly make someone want to do something they don’t really want to
do, but we can offer suggestions.
Say
your kid doesn’t want to go to college; we can’t actually make them go, but we can do a couple of things to
“suggest” that it is in their best interest to go to college. Since I can’t grab my son by the hair and sit him
in a desk and make him learn I have to offer suggestions or alternatives that will, hopefully, help him to see
the college is really a better choice in the long-term for him. The point is that HE has to see it I can’t MAKE
him see it.
So
what can we do?
Well,
first parents often try the tactic that if they don’t go to college they’ll have move out of our
house, get a job, and make a living. Since they are out of school I’d consider them adults and they should be on
their own making their own living. If they want to stay in my house, well fine, but it’ll cost you. Then I’d
come up with some ridiculous amount of rent that I know they couldn’t afford. (Or if they suddenly did afford it
I’d probably start to worry about where they were earning their money.) This is one possible solution, make them
really have to struggle to understand how hard it’s going to be to survive, or at least have a nice comfortable
life, without a college education.
Another method might be to constantly point out how great things could be with a career
obtained from a college education. You could showcase every one of your friend’s kids that went to college and
now show your kid how “successful” they are. You can make the case that Sally met Billy at college and now they
are getting married or whatever circumstances that are in your world.
This
method is absolutely impossible with a teenager, or anyone for that matter, constantly telling them the
benefits of college, how much they really want to go to college, how happy college would make them, how bright
their future will be with a college education, and so on..
Just
imagine repeating these positive phrases or “suggestions” thousands of times every day to your child. Well, I
doubt it would take more than ten minutes before they close the door of their bedroom and lock you out or just
leave the house so they don’t have to hear you anymore.
Now
why is this? Why wouldn’t someone want to hear all of these great things?
Because you are trying to appeal to the conscious mind!
That
rarely works. Now imagine if you can play an MP3 file that has a nice meditative soundtrack or better yet a
silent soundtrack that you can play it over and over all night long while they sleep. Along with this nice
relaxing soundtrack are thousands of all the great “suggestions” listed above. The only difference is that they
aren’t audible to the conscious mind, but the subconscious mind can hear and decipher these phrases,
like a code.

Why do we care so much about the
subconscious mind anyway?
The
subconscious mind is what we use when we need to get things done without having to think about them, so they
become automatic, a part of you. Remember learning to tie your shoe? Ok that was probably a long time ago, how
about learning to drive a car or a stick-shift car for the first time?
When
you first learned to drive a car, you have to think about everything. You needed total concentration to pay
attention to what’s going on inside and outside the car. You had to watch how fast you were going, are you in
right gear, you probably had both hands on the steering wheel at all times, watching other cars, both moving and
parked with intensity. Now fast forward a few years, now you’re driving talking on the phone, changing the
radio, ladies put on makeup, texting, eating McDonalds, drinking coffee (I’m not encouraging this behavior while
driving but you know what I mean). Now you can drive and do other things at the same time. How is this possible
when a few years ago you had two sets of white-knuckled fists clutching the steering wheel, making sure
everything was ok?
The
first scenario, when you first learned something you were using your conscious mind. When you are familiar with
the process, down to the subconscious level, it becomes automatic, a part of you or what you are and you don’t
need the same level of concentration anymore.
This
is true with everything you first learn. Learning the stick-shift for the first time, even for a seasoned driver
can be a real eye-opener. You’re not using your subconscious anymore and you really have to focus on shift
gears, laying off the clutch and hitting the gas when you start off so that the gear catches and you don’t
stall. Think about the first time you sat in front of a computer, you had to focus on everything now its second
nature. Or switching from a PC to a Mac or vice versa, what used to be automatic just became completely
unfamiliar.
Ok, so
what does learning to drive a car have to do with the subliminal MP3 programs designed by
gosubliminal.com?
Surprisingly it has everything to do with
our example.
Let’s
say you want your child to go to college and you just bring up college repeatedly out
loud (consciously) every time you spoke with your child, a couple of things could start happening. To your
child, life is happening, friends, work, video games, and oh yeah, school. His/her conscious mind hears this as
nagging and annoying. After a while bringing it up can make your child feel angy. (This is NOT the feeling
we want to ANCHOR to the idea of going to college)
Pretty
soon the idea of college causes negative feelings (i.e. anger.) It sounds weird and
counterintuitive but that’s how powerful the subconscious mind is. It can literally make (anchor) feeling within
your child to start to resent you (and the very idea of college) and all you wanted to do
was help them.
Now on
the other hand, since we know that the subconscious mind is so powerful, it would make an amazing ally in our
quest to change someone’s behavior or habits. If we can bombard the subconscious mind with suggestions,
suggestions that would make the subconscious mind happy at the thought of them. All the while we are
bypassing the conscious mind. You see once the subconcious mind thinks something is a good idea the conscious
mind has no choice but to agree with that believe. (The funny thing is the same is not true the other way, if
you consciously want to do something that goes against your internal (subconscious) beliefs, doing that action
will cause all kinds of internal conflicts.
That is a very powerful idea that
not too many people know or understand.
Now we
are really on to something. If we feed the subconscious mind thousands and thousands of positive suggestions
every day, the subconscious mind will go on auto-pilot like it did when we finally learned to drive, and
actually make the conscious mind forget all of the conscious “life” things for a while and allows it to enjoy
seeing how great a college education can be. (in this example, but is could be a smoke free life or having
total self confidence - the choices are unlimited!)
If you can make
good, quality suggestions that don’t go against the subconscious minds gauge of right and wrong
(beliefs) then you’ve solved 98% of the problem.
Each
MP3 program consists of a one hour silent subliminal transformation program. We've found this to work the best
because you literally can play it anywhere. People can play it at work, in the car, wherever. This is very
versatile. (You can play from a computer, burn to a CD or play it from your phone anywhere!)
So the
goal is to play the subliminal MP3 file as often as possible, to feed your subconscious mind with the
subliminal suggestions over and over. It is very satisfying when out of the blue people start to act
in an unexpected way:
-
Your child orders a few college catalogs in the mail
-
Your wife starts to view smoking as an expensive, disgusting habit and equate it
to a prolonged suicide
-
You feel a bit of new confidence from listening to a subliminal confidence program and now you can
outline the reasons and actually ask for that
promotion you deserve.
That
is the power of the subconscious mind!
This
is why using subliminal suggestions to break through the “noise” filtering out life's everyday problems is
the key to unlocking the power of the subconscious mind. Once the subconscious mind understands
that the suggestions really align with what it really wants it sort of re-prioritizes the
subconscious to know what is most important. So now when it comes time for us to talk to our child about college
the subliminal suggestions have shifted the priority and the whole idea or college in the child's conscious
mind, from an annoyance to a positive experience to look forward to experiencing.
Once
we make the shift from the subconscious to the conscious mind the thoughts and beliefs align, and that is
powerful! UNSTOPABLE!
